Our Machine Certification Program is designed to do exactly that—empower you with the skills you need to bring your projects to life while ensuring a safe and collaborative environment for everyone.
Certification is our way of saying: “We trust you to use this equipment, and we have given you the training to prove it.” Once certified, you gain full access to book time on our most advanced machines, troubleshoot common issues, and work independently on your projects.

Machines Requiring Certification
The following machines require certification before you can book independent time. Each certification covers safety, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting specific to that machine.
SDS Shredder & Filament Maker
Our Sustainable Design Studio (SDS) shredder and filament maker allow you to turn plastic waste into custom 3D printing filament. This is a unique capability that requires training to ensure material quality and machine safety.
xTool F2 Ultra (Diode Laser)
The F2 Ultra with diode and MOPA fiber capability is our flagship laser for metal engraving, cutting, and color marking. It is a versatile but powerful system that requires proper training to unlock its full potential.
xTool F2 Ultra UV Laser
The F2 Ultra UV is a specialized 5W UV laser that uses “cold processing” to engrave glass, crystal, sensitive plastics, and delicate materials without heat damage. It requires specific training to handle its unique capabilities and limitations.
xTool P3 CO₂ Laser
The P3 is an 80W CO₂ laser with a massive 36″ x 18″ work area, ideal for large-format cutting and engraving on wood, acrylic, leather, and fabric. Its industrial power requires proper training to operate safely and effectively.
MakerMade M2 CNC Router
Our MakerMade M2 is a 4′ x 8′ CNC router capable of cutting full sheets of plywood, MDF, and soft metals. It is a powerful tool that demands respect and skill.
